Julie Carmen, Actress/ Producer is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the OSCAR committee of judges for the Best International Films. Julie is executive producing a documentary feature film called Lico Jiménez the Ebony Liszt about her great-grandfather, Jose Manuel (Lico) Jiménez Berroa, (1851-1917), an Afro Cuban child protege classical pianist from Trinidad, Cuba who emigrated to Europe to perform in 200 concerts along with his father and brother. For 20 years Julie worked as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a certified Yoga Therapist but during the covid pandemic she pivoted to focus on producing four films at different stages of development, based on published books.
